Recent developments at Santos
Santos has doubled its half-year underlying profit to $217 million.
In a 2.15 billion USD deal, Santos acquired Quadrant Energy in complete measure.
Sharing his vision about this acquisition, Santos MD & CEO said, “This acquisition delivers increased ownership and operatorship of a high-quality portfolio of low cost, long-life conventional Western Australian natural gas assets which are well known to Santos, and importantly significantly strengthens Santos’ offshore operating capability.”
Farmers of the Queenland, New South Wales were hit severely by drought and Santos decided to help them in their ordeal by donating a sum of $75,000 to two organization: Narrabri Lions Club and Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal.
This is what the MD & CEO, Mr. Kevin Gallagher had to say about this: “As a proudly Australian company that’s worked in partnership with NSW landholders, it’s only right to lend a hand.”
Not only Santos granted this fund but the MD & CEO mentioned that more than $40,000 generated through the sale of Santos cattle shall also be donated to the drought relief fund.
