Let’s take a quick glance at the key developments at Kuwait Oil!
In February 2018, Kuwait Oil Company celebrated the inauguration of Gas Booster Station 171 in West Kuwait. This is a landmark development and comes within the framework of KPC and KOC strategies that intends to complete various projects that will enhance the production of free and associated gas.
This development was celebrated in the presence of the key officials and ministers from KOC. The event included a field visit to the facility, where visitors learned about the new technology that is being implemented to take the firm’s performance to great heights.
The CEO of Kuwait Oil has reaffirmed his faith in the project and said that commissioning of this facility is a significant achievement and a qualitative leap for the infrastructure of gas operations in West Kuwait. He maintained that KPC is looking forward to making Kuwait a pioneer in the oil and gas industry by achieving the optimal value of hydrocarbons and enhancing the performance levels of all activities while adhering to the highest possible levels of HSE standards.
He further added that as part of this vision, Kuwait Oil was keen to facilitate research, adopt the recent technologies, and acquire international expertise, in addition to training the next generation of Kuwaiti employees in order to meet the challenges before the oil and gas industry in modern times.
Another major development at Kuwait Oil
KOC has recently inaugurated and commissioned the West Rawdatain Gas Production Facility for light oil and Jurassic gas production.
The West Rawdatain facility will eventually contribute to the enhancement of free oil and gas recovery. The third and last station in East Rawdatain will allow for 500 MMSCFD of free gas production in the first quarter of the next fiscal year while light oil production is expected to rise by 200,000 BPD in the same period.
