From the early days, Dr. Harry Butler helped Chevron to come up with solutions to push their operations and projects forward on Barrow Island without compromising on the fundamental conservation values.

It was Harry Butler who has been instrumental in creating a culture of environmental awareness with Chevron’s workforce.

Thus, to carry forward his legacy, Chevron launched ‘The Harry Butler Legacy Project’. The key components of this project are: nurturing an inspired and engaged workforce; third-party partnerships and collaboration; identifying and addressing knowledge gaps, and volunteering in the community.
