To the people who are stepping out into the world after college and are searching for jobs, you probably keep wondering what is the difference between a CV and resume (pronounced re-zu-meh) yes not the quintessential grammatical resume (meaning begin!)

A CV or a curriculum vitae is Latin for “the course of your life”, pretty deep we agree. A CV shows the work life you have had. A CV is a more detailed document of your accomplishments and your work life. A resume, on the other hand, is a one-page document which gives an overview of your work life.
When to use a CV and a Resume?
It is always a debate as to when to use which document but fret not, we at Energy Dais help you figure out the way forward. A CV can run longer than 2 pages and it is a detailed run through your career. A CV will never change but the attaching cover letter will change. A resume on the other hand always changes as per the requirement of the position.
A CV can be used when the position you have applied for requires you to give extensive details to the potential employer. A resume is useful when you have to go for an interview and the interviewer needs some perspective about your job experience.
A CV also helps the potential employer understand your strengths and weaknesses.

CVs and resumes are the character certificates every company needs for their potential employees. It is a SWOT analysis of your career
