Sometimes, a simple change in the physical environment can help you refresh and get a renewed perspective. This does not require any modification of great magnitude. Just a few creative kinds of stuff on your desk or maybe a different position of your desktop would do. Since you do not have the luxury of an exotic landscape, try making the most of what you have. You can also request for a remote working arrangement if it’s not compulsory for you to be on the ground. How about finding a nice local cafe and set up your work there for 1-2 days? We know you can’t take that vacation from work but you can definitely turn around the scenery.

Healthy habits like staying away from social media, taking small breaks, staying hydrated, exercising, and so on can ease down the stress really well. We don’t realize the importance of these simple habits unless our mental and physical health begins to get affected. In the end, we are not machines and can’t function like that. Your mind and body have to support you in your journey and you certainly need to take care of yourself. Small steps will lead to big changes when you can’t take that much-needed vacation from work.
